The Price of Peace: GUESTBOOK

I am a military brat. Born and raised with military all around me. My Father and both grandpas were in the Air force, My brother is in the Army and recently returned from being deployed and recently my Husband joined the national guard I know first hand how it feels to be the family member left behind when a loved one goes to fight for our country. Wanting them to stay. There are few songs that TRULY touch a persons heart. I personal have only found Three that do it for me, God bless the U.S.A., Where were you when the world stopped turning, and now your beautiful song makes me cry every time I hear it. The words in your song are so true its hard not to let them touch the heart. I've been in those shoes and I have all the respect for ever person that is, was or will be brave enought to stand up and put their life in danger to protect me by joining the United states military and the families that stand by and support them while they take that journey. Thank you so much for writing this song for all of us.

I just wanted to say I saw you perform this song at the National Family Readiness Conference for the National Guard in Dearborn MI last July. I am a Family Readiness Group Leader for aunit in Ohio. This is truly an amazing song and has really hit home. My husband is now a Warrant Officer and his daughter has recently moved in with us. She is 16 yrs old and I played this for her. She too is now a strong supporter of this song. I hope this continues to move families as it has ours. God bless you and your family...

I loved the song. It just made me cry. I can picture, my grandsons, seeing their dad go When they were younger.. And is still being deployed, this month for the third time. We thank all the men and women, who do the sacrifice, for us to be free.

You are definitely right! This is one of the careers where the job doesn't just effect the person doing it, but everyone around them, such as family and close friends. As the wife of a currently deployed soldier, I really appreciate this song! It really means a lot to know that 'we' are being thought of, along with our soldiers! God has given you a gift to be able to put into words what so many family members of soldiers feel. Thanks again! And keep up the awesome work! God bless you girls and your family!

From the family of a hero who just returned from war seven days ago... we thank you. You are correct, many people do not know or understand what we go through. Awareness is the key to our continued perserverance, success and support. This song is fantastic. Thank you for your service as a military family and this uplifting song.

You two sisters are AMAZING! I am sure your parents are very proud of you both. Your song gives me a whole new perspective of how children are effected by their parent (s) going off to serve our country. It's hard enough to have your spouse serve, let alone a parent. Your beautiful song touch my husband and I. We are blessed to have you two in our military family. Thank you for your hope and strength.

That video is one of the most beautiful ones I have ever watched. As an area Ride Captain for the Patriot Guard Riders, American Legion Rider, and a District & State Officer of the American Legion, it's girls like you that make what 'we' do all worth being there for the families of our soldiers whether it's tears of joy or sorrow.

My youngest was crying when went in to say prayers with him. I asked him why he was crying. He answered because I dodn't want you to go. Gos bless you for what you have done.

My son, Matthew, just left for Ft. Hood, Texas. He will be deployed for Kuwait in June. I was thinking about him -- I haven't heard from him yet -- and was on the computer browsing. I came across your song -- this really meant a great deal to me and my grandson who is very close to his Uncle Matthew. We listened to the song together. We both cried together. This is a very touching testimony you and your sister have made to not only your dad but also to all of the soldiers in our country. I know he is very proud of both of you. Good luck and God bless.

Great song! It's good to see someone write a song giving the perspective of the impacts deployments have on the families. There are so many songs about the soldiers and what they feel, experience, become from war, but the families are far too often forgotten about. I know it was very hard on my family when I deployed and I believe you captured their sentements well. Thank you for what you do in support of the troops. God bless you and your family.

You girls have created a beautiful piece of music that will touch the hearts of a lot of people, as it has touched mine.. As a Vietnam Veteran I know how much support from your family can be when you are deployed and how proud your Dad must be of you both.
It has been my dictinct pleasure to have done a small part in helping to support our Troops and their families and have witnessed the struggles, the strength and the love on the families part. All I can say is God bless you and all of the other children and families who keep the home fires burning.. You are what we fight for...

As a parent it's hard to leave your kids and family, BUT, as a Soldier, especially in time of war, it's dozens of times harder. I'm an Army Brat, so I learned a long time ago about Father's leaving for combat as I have had to do several times now. It hurts. We have a great group of Soldiers that are doing an outstanding job. God Bless and thanks for puting into words, what I've always felt. BE SAFE

This song is amazing and so are you two for putting your feelings and experiences into lyrics. I cant begin to say how great this song is and it will touch so many hearts. This is what its all about war families helping eachother through the hardest times , it is inspiring. Keep up the great work, your parents have done a great job with you two and should be so proud! My husband will be deployed soon and, we have three children 9, 8 and 3 this is going to be a very difficult time for us we will miss him deeply , he is the one who holds down the fort for us but its things like this that will help us through it. Thank you for your special song! God bless you!!!!!!

This song was amazing. My father is deployed right now and he and will not return until March. The thoughts that you expressed are ones that me and my sister have both had this whole year. I am a sophmore in college and am older but I worry about what this year has done to the younger girls whos dads or moms are in Afghanistan with my father. I think that this is a great way for them to realize that they are not alone. It was a beautiful song!
